John O. WALLACE

Charles F. WALTERS
Charles F. Walters, well known citizen of Concord, died at his home here Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, following an illness of three weeks. His condition had been serious for several days. Mr. Walters was 86 years of age, having been born in Cabarrus county on November 7, 1839, a son of the late Charles Walters. He had spent his entire life in this city and county and was widely and favorably known. His wife, who was Miss Bettie Poole, died several years ago. He was a brave Confederate soldier. Three sons, one daughter and one step-son survive. They are: Ed., Till and R. O. Walters, Miss Bettie Walters and Tim Deaton, all of Concord. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, and interment was made in the cemetery of Mt. Gilead Church. Rev. M. L. Kester conducted the services, which were attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives. Source: "Charles F. Mollie WHITE
On Wednesday death came and robbed Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Whittington, who live only a few miles below town, of the daughter, Mollie, who had reached the age of 22 years. She died of consumption. The remains were interred in the old Lutheran cemetery here. N. G. WHITE
Mr. N. G. White, for a long time a prominent and influential citizen of No. 11, and who has been in feeble health for a long time, died Tuesday, July 23 at 2 o'clock in the evening. Mr. White was a long time elder at Rocky River church; and when Zion was built his membership he moved there, and served as elder until his death. He was 70 years old and leaves eight grown children, seven sons and one daughter. His grandchildren number 18. Mr. White was a good man in the fullest sense of the word. He had the respect of all, and in his long life he was useful, kind and conservative. One of his sons is Mr. Thomas J. White, of our town, who has the sympathy of the entire community. His remains were interred today (Wednesday) at Zion church, the services being conducted at his late residence by his pastor, Rev. Lancaster. Source: "Death of Mr. N. G. Alice WILKINSON
Mrs. Alice Wilkinson died last Tuesday morning after an illness of several months. She was a daughter of the late W. C. Kime, and was a most lovable Christian woman. She took great interest in church work, and will be much missed by a large circle of friends. She is survived by her husband and two children; also a brother and 3 sisters.
