Samuel E. VAN PELT
Samuel E. Van Pelt, a prominent citizen of No. 3 township, died last Tuesday after an illness of about three months of stomach trouble. He was 69 years of age, and leaves one son, Ed Van Pelt, and three daughters. His wife died about nine months ago. Mr. Van Pelt was a Confederate soldier, and one of the bravest that ever went in battle.
