Margaret Lilly SADBERRY

Miss Margaret Lilly Sadberry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Sadberry, of Cannonville, died Tuesday night after being confined to her bed for quite a while.  Miss Sadberry was a young lady of 20 years.  The funeral will be conducted at the home tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. T. W. John SAFRIT

David SHOE

David Shoe, a young man about 21 years of age, son of Mr. Redin Shoe, died Sunday night at his home near the Cabarrus mills.  He died from consumption.  This is the second son Mr. Shoe has lost by this disease in the last four months.  The burial will take place Tuesday at Friendship church in Stanly county where the family formerly lived.   Source: "A Young Man Dies of Consumption," The Daily Concord Standard, 26 June 1899, digital images, North Carolina Digital Heritage Center (http://www.digitalnc.org/collections/newspapers : accessed 9 June 2017).

Levi SHOE

G. G. SMITH

Dr. G. G. Smith, one of the most prominent, beloved and highly esteemed residents of Concord, died on Tuesday morning at his residence in that place.  He has been in feeble health for some time, but it was not thought he would be taken away so quickly.  He was about sixty-eight years old, and there was not a man in Cabarrus county whose death would have been received with more sincere sorrow.   Source: "Death's Harvest," The Daily State Chronicle, 23 April 1891, digital images, Chronicling America (http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov : accessed 27 October 2019).

Sarah STARNES

Mrs. Sarah Starnes, of No. 5 township, died last Saturday about 2 o'clock, aged about 79 years.  She was stricken with paralysis about a week ago.  She made her home with her son Mr. Robert Baker.  The body was interred Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Mt. Carmel, the burial services being conducted by Rev. W. V. David SUTHER

Died. Thomas A. SUTHER

Thos. A.
