Harris, Richard Sadler

Mr. Richard Sadler Harris, one of the most prominent and influential citizens of Cabarrus county died this morning at 9:30 o'clock at his home in Concord.  Deceased was 77 years of age.  He leaves a wife and the following names children: Mr. Wade H. Harris, of Charlotte; Mrs. Thos. Wetson, of Winston; Miss Rose Harris; Mrs. Corinna Harris Shinn; Miss Mary Lewis Harris; Miss Sarah Doby Harris and Miss Clara Harris, of Concord.  Mr. Wade Harris was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Harris.  Deceased was one of the best informed men of his county.  By birth, and rearing he was a gentleman.  High courtesy marked his bearing.  He was delightful in conversation, a good man, a man of whose influence throughout all his long life was for the right.  He was a life long member of the Presbyterian church.  The funeral services take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in the Presbyterian church in Concord.
