Abijah ALEXANDER

Cyrus W. ALEXANDER

Mr. Cyrus W. James R. ALEXANDER

James R. William J. ALLMOND

Mr. William J. Allmond died at the home of his mother on West Corbin street this morning at 8 o'clock, after an illness of only two weeks with pneumonia.  He was 23 years of age, and was a member of the First Presbyterian church.  Mr. Allmond, with his mother moved to this city from Stanly county about two years ago.  He was his mother's support and was indeed an exemplary young man, with unreproachable character and moral habits, and was held in high esteem by all who knew him.  Mr. Allmond was a member of Cold Water Lodge of Odd Fellows, and will be buried with the honors of that order.  Thye funeral will take place from the First Presbyterian church tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, and the interment will be at the city cemetery.   Source: "Will Allmond is Dead," Daily Concord Standard, 1 March 1897, digital images, North Carolina Digital Heritage Center (http://www.digitalnc.org/collections/newspapers : accessed 31 January 2020).

Susan L. AYCOCK

Mrs. Susan L. Aycock, died last Wednesday night at the home of her brother-in-law, Mr. L. J.
